Tea has one of the most colorful histories to explore and has had a profound impact on society. Tea has shaped our modern world order and has been a constant link between cultures globally.

One of the most profound events surrounding tea happened in 1773. The Sons of Liberty boarded 3 British Vessels in opposition to the Tea Act of 1773 and dumped 46 tons of tea into the Boston Harbor, lighting the fires for colonial independence. This act now popularly known as the Boston Tea Party was the spark that lit the fire for American Independence. 

Inspired by the Boston Tea Party, we here at 46tons want to revolutionize the tea industry as well. We put a lot of effort into researching history, culture, and science of our drinks. Our goal is to bring the best tea and drinks from around the world with our own flair with our local ingredients to make the unique and original drinks.
